We were pleased to welcome Amalia from Ringwood Secondary School for a week of work experience. During her time with us, she had the opportunity to engage with various members of our team, gaining valuable insight into their roles and the world of architecture through our ongoing projects.
As part of her experience, Amalia was tasked with designing an Environmental & Wildlife Protection Hub for Boscombe beach promenade. She explored the brief with enthusiasm, using tools like Adobe Photoshop and SketchUp, and produced an impressive range of work including precedent studies, site analysis, locally inspired concepts, floor plans, and a series of beautifully hand-drawn sketches.
She presented her final ideas confidently to the team at the end of the week—despite the added challenge of sitting a GCSE exam during her placement!
We wish Amalia every success with the rest of her exams and hope she continues to pursue her passion for architecture.
