project brief | The Innovation Building provides office accommodation over 3 floors, totalling approximately 24,000sqft of net lettable floor space. The landmark building occupies a prominent position close to the entrance of the circuit and is key to the development of the Silverstone Technology Parke.
The upper floor plates appear to cantilever out over the ground floor, creating a deep recess and the impression of the building ‘floating’ above a white base. This is achieved using Kalwall to the ground floor, which contrasts with the metallic skin above.
The main office accommodation wraps around a 50m long central atrium space, which is intended to become the predominant social space for the building. This space contains two triple height entrance voids; a feature staircase and triple height light wells, which flood the interior with natural light.
